ACARA NAPLAN Online Trial – Technical Readiness Test

Instructions

Welcome to the Technical Readiness Test (TRT) for the NAPLAN Online trial.

You will need to complete this test on a representative sample of the computers that will be used by students during the trial in August 2013. This test is to ensure that all computers meet the minimum requirements to be able to run the testing software.

Please ensure you complete this test using the same access levels that are provided to students.

To complete the TRT:
  1. Please fill in the two fields below. For the School ID field, enter the ID that Pearson has provided.
  2. Click 'Run Speed Test'. The speed test provides feedback on the achievable download speed of your computer from our servers where the test is located. You will need to have flash plugin installed. Please run the test on each computer in order to increase the reliability of the data produced. After the test, please type in the 'Download Speed' number in the box.
  3. Click 'Run Practice Items'. You will need to have pop-ups enabled on the browser for the Assessment Master site. If prompted, please accept the pop-up.
  4. You will be presented with a Numeracy practice item. Please choose a response option and click on 'Next'.
  5. You will then be presented with a Reading practice item. Please choose a response option and click on 'Next'.
  6. Please complete the feedback questions, in order to confirm that you could view the practice items. If you were not able to view them, please describe what you experienced.
  7. Click on 'Submit Form' to send the form when finished.
